
Christina Karamesines
Christina Karamesines (B) August 2, 1948 8:39 am Chicago is the author of
Karamesines Deep Muscle Therapy. She has been featured in Massage Magazine,
a national trade publication for massage therapists and received a Chair Citation Award from
AAHSA (American Association of Services and Housing for the Aged). "Christina Karamesines" is
approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a

She instructed a 650 hour course in therapeutic massage and has certifications in: Master Training
Structural Integration Instructor Training, Master Training Structural Integration, Ethics, Deep Tissue
Upper and Lower Body Techniques, Therapeutic Massage, Master Instructor of Integrated Energy Therapies,
Practitioner Level II Reiki, Aroma Therapy, Reflexology and Teacher's Summit Certificate of Achievement.
Christina has been a Holistic practitioner, coach and teacher for over 10 years and consults with
clients throughout the country.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Christina volunteered her time and energy to work on staff
from the AAHSA communities in the Gulf States. Leslie Knight, AAHSA Regional Vice
President said "even though Christina couldn't actually see the devastation to New Orleans,
the Gulf Coast and its people, she certainly could feel it. Her loss of vision didn't
impede her ability to help heal tired bodies and spirits. In four days, she was able
to reenergize 25 people with her amazing gift of touch." She is the first non-AAHSA member to
receive a chair citation.
Christina founded Singing Sands Performing Art Inc., a non-profit organization in Michigan City, Indiana,
a community resource for teaching, performing and experiencing music, art and culture through After
School Programs and Summer Adventure Camps. In addition she coordinated the Singing Sands
Performing Arts Music Festivals.
Christina is a poet, singer, songwriter and guitarist. She is inspired by her dreams,
life experiences and the vibration of musical notes. Her music is lyrical, soothing and
reflective. Christina performs at cafes, coffee Houses and other venues along the shores
of Lake Michigan and throughout the U.S.
Other than a passion for teaching, poetry and music Christina's favorite hobbies include: hiking,
literature, writing, spending time with loved ones and new adventures!
